I built the special splitter for connecting two toms to the spare crash 3 port on the strike module. However, I'm not sure how I connect the piezos from two roto-toms so that I can plug in to the two ports on the splitter. I'm only using single zone for the rotos. How would I connect the two piezos (one per roto) to the two ports on this splitter?

Let me know if you're still having an issue with this. I know it's been a while since you posted, and maybe you've figured it out.
When I made the splitter I only tried it with alesis pads, so it could be the output of the piezo's you're using in your diy pads. I would suggest experimenting with both higher and lower value diodes in your splitter to see if you can find a combo that works. I picked the ones I used purely through trial and error.
Not looking like anyone is paying any attention to this but I'm hoping I can get some help. Here is what I did:
I constructed the splitter exactly as shown in the video/diagram
I have two drum pads each with it's own diy trigger which is basically just a piezo with a cone. Both pads have stereo output jacks wired to them. The blacks soldered to the sleeve (one per jack), and the reds soldered to the tips. Nothing on the ring since putting 1 of them on the ring did not work.
I have each pad plugged into the two splitter jacks, and the crash 3 plugged into the single jack off the two splitters. So it runs from the splitter to the crash 3 port.
The problem I'm having is if I plug a pad into one of the ports, I get alternating bow and edge. If I plug it into the other port, I get just one of them (I forget which) but it miss triggers a lot, as if it is trying to alternate with the other hit. It's like in one configuration, I don't get missed hits but it alternates between rim and bow but randomly. Like it will do all bow for a few hits then throws in an edge hit now and then or vice versa like they are fighting for control. If I switch the plugs, I just get one of the hits but it misses a lot. Weird. Wonder if I did something wrong like with the diode? I followed the illustrations so pretty sure I did it right.
I realize the splitter was designed to work more with the stock Alesis pads and not so much diy pads but I'm wondering what I need to do to make this work right? Hope you can help. It's really frustrating.
